Morning runs to lift the heart

It is a truth indeed that if I run, it lifts my heart, even if it is cold and wet and dark and vile but sometimes morning light is particularly special. Home is very beautiful and a remarkable place of natural beauty but here is special too.

At home I have the woods and the trails from my front door but here is a different kind of lovely in the morning. The sea brings a different light, a different sunrise again. Home excels in temperature inversions sitting in the valley, over which burning orange light rises; here at sea level you have the bright, clear sun, reflected in the sea, like a million glistening lights. I love the openness of being near the sea, the being at the end of the land.
